This is my company van. On the back you might notice a rather odd
looking thing. This is my mobile HF antenna. I built it or rather
re-built it (a story for another time) myself. It can be tuned
from the cab of the van, to operate on all the ham bands. With
this antenna I am able to talk all over the world while I am
driving around. Sure makes the time go by fast on those otherwise
boring drives.
This is an inside shot of the van.
Under the dash, on the far left is a Kenwood TS50 HF rig. Next to
it is an ICOM 2 meter/ 440 Rig. On the wood box between the seats
is a bencher paddle for operating Morse code (CW). On the front
of the box is a radio shack DSP unit and a contest keyer. What
you can't see is that the box has two 6" speakers built into
it so I can monitor H/F and UHF/VHF at the same time.
This is my radio station at the house. Boy what a mess, huh? Well
yes, but again, all is very functional, I assure you. On the wall
above all the radio gear are a few of the QSL cards I have gotten
from different countries all over the world. I also enjoy contesting. By the way, this is a 100%KF7VY &
