I gotta tell you, I don't know what I would do without my polar
bear long johns. It can get seriously cold at 8,300 Ft.
It was a real comfort to have Don's two
attack dogs along this year to keep the lions and tigers and
bears away. We all slept very well knowing that if some stranger
wandered into camp they would be found in the morning drowned in
dog slobber.

Jim and Don search for that elusive
multiplier. Actually they both feel asleep frozen in that
position, strangest thing I have ever seen.
Boy it sure was nice to have Jenny, my
bride, along. Here she give's us a demonstration on how to light
the Coleman stove without getting blown into next week.
Big Don was the Eveready bunny of this
operation. When he wasn't operating, he was up in the listening
tent looking for needed multiplier. This guy never sleeps.
Yes Don, that really was Norway. Total
score for the contest was 1500 contacts, and all of the 58
possible multipliers.
If you are interested in joining our expedition in future
years, drop me a note. You do not have to be a licensed ham to
join in and operate.
